BACK FROM CALIFORNIA!
I missed my flight … well, actually I scheduled my flight for the wrong day … so I would have showed up on time to my flight … if I had one … right. You get the point.
It ended up working out alright. I guess I hadn’t even mentioned what I was up to. I was out in Studio City recording for the STEEL TRAIN album. We’re working with Los Angeles legend, REDD KROSS mastermind and general coolguy Steven McDonald. He also produced DOG PROBLEMS by THE FORMAT and the yet to be released record from FUN. Anyways, the record sounds amazing. I couldn’t be happier with the work that Jack and everyone did prior to my showing up. The arrangements are incredible, Jon’s drums are incredible … ect ect ect. We also played trivia and went all Los Angeles crazy.
Yeah, so that’s how I got to the missed flight thing. But I’m back now. Took the red eye with 50 middle school kids going on a class trip … to somewhere.
The SEAHORSES! record is coming along really well. The preproduction for the entire album is just about finished. Needs horns, some vocals and a few other ideas, but is mostly there. Em, Alex and I worked on a new recording the day before I headed out of town. We’ll hopefully finish 3 more “good demos” this month and will post those.
I watched TWILIGHT the other day and kind of loved it. I think I mentioned that before. Speaking of Kristen Stewart, I also watched ADVENTURELAND and hated it. Total garbage. I think the studio realized it was terrible as well and so they tried to make the trailer look like it had more Bill Hader in it … which it didn’t. He was barely even in the film. Anyways. Don’t.
Sooo … I guess thats it … New songs soon. New record soon. Seahorses. Steel Train.
